Tartar sauce

Citrus and pickle juice provide a nice zing to this creamy sauce. Great on almost any seafood based sandwich.


  • 12 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 3 tablespooons chopped pickles
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons chopped capers
  • 14 small onion diced
  • pinch sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste


Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to overnight.

Keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks. Serve as a dipping sauce for any fish or use as a spread for a seafood based sandwich.
