Much like the taco seasoning you buy in packets at the store, this is a pantry staple and it adds a little bit of spice and flavor to tacos or meat for tortas.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon MSG

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir to mix everything up well.

Transfer to a jar or container with a lid.

Notes:

If you are using a ball jar, use 1 ring for the lid, but get two of the flat removable lids stacked inside the ring. The one on the outside you should keep whole/unchanged and the other you can poke through with a nail a bunch of times to make a lot of holes and you've just made yourself a Suburban taco seasoning shaker.
