Directions:

Cook your hot dog by your preferred method. I typically grill mine or cook in a skillet over medium high heat turning often. If you've never cooked a hot dog before, you should check out this guide from Nathan's Famous: How to Make the Perfect Hot Dog

While I am cooking my hot dogs I will usually toast my hot dog bun. This step is optional, but if you're not toasting the buns, I suggest that you should at least warm them up in the microwave with a slightly damp paper towel for about 20 or 25 seconds. Toasting or microwaving the bun will both make the bun softer.

Once the bun is ready and the hot dog is cooked to your liking, add the dog to the bun.

Add one or one and a half tablespoons of cream cheese to the top of the dog.

Add one to two tablespoons of chili crisp on top of the cream cheese.

Sprinkle with microwave fried shallots and enjoy.
