Directions:

Turn on your oven broiler to high

Add condiments to the top part of both slices of your bread.

Add cheese to the top part of both slices of your bread. If you’re only using one slice of cheese, just add it to one slice of bread.

Place any bread slice with cheese on it under the broiler (if you only put cheese on one bread slice, only add one to the oven, but if you added it to both bread slices, put both in there).

Broil for 2 or 3 minutes but keep an eye on it and make sure nothing gets brown.

While the cheese is melting in the oven, add a skillet or griddle to your stove and turn the heat on to medium.

Put the two slices of bread together to make a sandwich.

Spread butter or mayonnaise on the outside of the top of the sandwich. Flip the sandwich buttered side down into the pan over medium heat.

Coat the second side with butter or mayonnaise while the bottom side is cooking. Flip the sandwich after 2 or 3 minutes of cooking.

Cook for another 2 or 3 minutes, flipping if the sandwich gets too dark.

Once the sandwich is browned to your liking, serve and enjoy.
