Honey syrup: combine honey with hot water and store in a sealed container. You only need 1/2 ounce for this particular cocktail but you can save it for a few days in the fridge to use in other cocktails.
Jimmy Carter cocktail: add peach jam, rye whiskey, lemon juice, and honey syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake for 20 seconds and then double-strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a peach slice and a Nutter Butter cookie. Dipping the cookie into the drink creates a fun cookie experience.
